ePac Flexible Packaging further invests in HP Indigo 20000 digital presses

PKBR Staff Writer Published 13 February 2018

US-based ePac Flexible Packaging has further invested in HP Indigo 20000 digital presses, in a bid to expand its production operations.

The company purchased 10 additional HP Indigo 20000 digital presses to advance its operations across the US through mid-2019.

At present, ePac is using three HP Indigo 20000 digital presses in Madison and Boulder. It will install the new presses at its new facilities in Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago and Miami.

Converters can use the HP Indigo 20000 digital press in multiple flexible packaging applications, in addition to labels and shrink sleeves on film or paper.

The 30 inch press holds capacity to print virtually any sized flexible packaging application with unlimited variation, helping to meet demand from growing SKUs.

HP Indigo 20000 can be connected to HP PrintOS, enabling PSPs to supervise the press performance in real time anywhere and anytime.

HP flexible packaging ecosystem contains end-to-end solutions, including HP Indigo pack ready lamination system.

The system features Karlville’s pack ready laminator and pack ready film.

ePac Flexible Packaging CEO Jack Knott said: “ePac helps simplify how brands of all sizes buy flexible packaging. Rapid turnaround time, low minimums, customization, graphics quality, and the ability to print to demand differentiate ePac from conventional flex pack converters.”

HP graphics solutions business global head Santi Morera said: “HP Indigo digital printing technology means greater flexibility for brands and entrepreneurs, and a more meaningful connection for their consumers.”

With locations across the US, ePac Flexible Packaging provides pre-media, digital printing, laminating, and pouch making services to the customers.
