Kompac installs UV coating system at Xeikon’s demonstration facility in US

Kompac has installed an EZ Koat 20 Plus coating system at Xeikon’s demonstration facility in Illinois, US.

The companies plan to use the installation to demonstrate the UV/aqueous coating capabilities of the EZ Koat 20 Plus system when integrated with Xeikon technology.

Kompac took part in the Xeikon Café’s North American in order to work directly with potential buyers who already own Xeikon technology, and showcase their coating systems capability.

Kompac sales and marketing director Chris DuFour said: “These solutions can be for both cut-sheet and web applications, and provides a host of opportunities for Xeikon users looking to increase their offering with UV/aqueous spot and flood coating.”

Capable of being used inline or offline, the EZ Koat 20 Plus is a sheet-fed flood coating and priming system designed to produce jobs on-demand, using sheets up to 20.5” wide.

The system features Solid State Digital UV lamp controller to allow infinite curing and temperature control. It also eliminates the need for re-circulation of the coating.

Xeikon marketing NA director Donna Covannon said: “Our label, packaging, and direct mail customers are looking for high quality UV and Aqueous systems, just like those offered by Kompac.

“We appreciated their presence at the inaugural Xeikon Café serving the North American market and look forward to their participation in future events and at our new Innovation Center.”

The system is equipped to allow users to enhance the look and value of product packaging, catalog covers, product brochures, postcards, and business cards, among others.
